Tuning Nexus is an educational and experimental browser application for intonation, ear training, tuning systems, and musical exploration. It runs in your web browser and uses the Web Audio API for sound generation and pitch analysis.
No registration and no account are required to use the main features of Tuning Nexus. You can explore, learn, and train without logging in. A backend function for importing MusicXML notation files requires authentication, but it is only used when you explicitly upload such a file.
Tuning Nexus stores the following categories of data locally in your browser (via localStorage) to remember your preferences and exercise progress:
This data never leaves your browser. It is not transmitted to a server, not shared with third parties, and not used for tracking or profiling.
You can delete all locally stored data at any time through your browser settings (clear site data, clear cache and cookies, or clear local storage for this site). Many exercises also offer a “Reset” button that clears the corresponding score. Clearing browser data resets the app to its initial state.
When you start a microphone feature, your browser asks for permission. During use, the audio signal is processed locally in the browser for pitch and intonation analysis. Tuning Nexus does not create audio recordings and does not transmit or store the audio signal.
Microphone access is only activated when you explicitly start a listening exercise. You can revoke microphone permission at any time through your browser settings.
Tuning Nexus is hosted on the Base44 platform. When you access the application, the hosting infrastructure may process technically necessary information such as IP address, time of access, requested page, and browser or device information. This access/log data is processed for the purpose of providing and securing the hosting service. The retention periods, server locations, and subprocessors of the Base44 platform are governed by the applicable policies of the hosting provider and could not be individually verified from the application code.
The application loads the Inter font from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com). This request is made by your browser directly to Google. The favicon is loaded from the Base44 domain. No other external resources, embedded content, or third-party APIs are loaded during normal use.
A backend function (parseMusicXML) processes MusicXML notation files that you explicitly upload. It requires authentication, parses the file on the server, and returns the result to your browser. The function does not persist the uploaded file or the parsed result. It is only invoked on your explicit action and does not affect the main training features.
Tuning Nexus does not use analytics services, advertising networks, tracking pixels, or telemetry. There are no payment providers or advertising services integrated at this time.
The application itself does not set cookies for tracking or advertising purposes. The hosting platform may use technically necessary cookies for session management. These are governed by the hosting provider’s policies.
Apart from the Base44 hosting platform (which processes technically necessary access data) and Google (which serves the font), no recipients of your data are known. Locally stored browser data has no recipients because it does not leave your browser.
No specific international data transfers could be verified from the application code. The hosting provider (Base44) and the font provider (Google) may process data outside Switzerland according to their own policies. The exact locations and transfer mechanisms could not be determined from the application code.
Locally stored browser data is retained until you clear it. For hosting-related access/log data, retention is governed by the applicable policies of the Base44 platform and could not be individually verified.
Under applicable Swiss data protection law, you have the right to information about the data concerning you that is processed, as well as the right to correction, deletion, and objection where applicable.
